What Is 10-Free?

Next Level Family

During the process of researching nail polishes that have minimal negative impact on our environment, our health and animals, we came across the term "10-free" often. Our expertise is in the hair industry so this was something new to us and we were intrigued so naturally we did a little digging.

In a nutshell, if a product is 10-free, it means it does not contain:

  1. Dibutyl Phthalate
  2. TPHP
  3. Toluene
  4. Xylene
  5. Ethyl Tosylamide
  6. Camphor
  7. Formaldehyde
  8. Formaldehyde Resin
  9. Parabens
  10. Tertbutyl Hydroperoxide or Animal Byproducts

As I said earlier, our expertise is in the hair industry. Evidently, some of these toxins stood out as familiar to us and have been tagged as harmful in the hair industry for years. Every day companies around the world are making an effort to remove some of these chemicals from their formulas because of the negative red flag they wave among their "ingredients".

 Sundays Trio Kit

In a recent survey, 57% of people responding said their biggest concern when buying personal care products was safety. In the last 12 months, salons and spas have started offering a new toxic free service. These are some impressive results and got us even more curious. After removing all of thee above...would the nail polish actually work?

Sundays 10-Free

We had to experience the results for ourselves and were absolutely blown away by what we found with Sundays nail polish. We found rich, deep pigment with the first stroke. Not even close to patchy or uneven, just smooth and vibrant. The second coat just added to the depth and richness of colour. Once the top coat was applied and dried as quickly as it did...we were sold. Our nails looked no different than if we had used a product that wasn't 10-free and if anything, looked better! We left the spa feeling 10-free AND guilt free!

Sundays Reds

Sundays nail polishes were created by founder Amy Ling Lin after working in the nail salon industry for many years. Her calm and peaceful approach to the industry has garnered attention from magazines such as Vogue & Elle as well as online beauty magazines such as Refinery 29, Byrdie & Goop and her popularity continues to grow.

The Sundays story definitely doesn't end with nail polish. Amy's passion for meditation and self care is appealing and much needed in todays busy, hustle & bustle world. Today we embrace our clean, 10-free polish leaving us so much more to share with you in the future.
